Ready to Meditate?

It always makes me giggle when I think about ME meditating! I resisted meditation for a long time. I have always been active. There was a time I believed every negative thought I would think. I started my meditation practice through yoga. Yoga is a moving meditation, and it was a game changer.

For me, meditation helps clear away the cobwebs and helps me focus, lowers stress and anxiety and calms this ever creative monkey mind of mine.

This is a great place to start if you ruminate (repeating thoughts focuses on negative content, generally past and present, and results in emotional distress).

The metta meditation is backed by research. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4630307/

There are many versions of it, but this is the simple one. Start small, maybe 2 minutes and you can add time as you feel more comfortable.

I work with women teaching them tools to deal with stress.. Learning how to calm our mind and knowing not every thought you think is worthy of your time. Letting your thoughts come in and out like ocean waves. You can’t stop the waves, but you can ride them…just like your thoughts.

Stay curious! Try something new. Feel your best, so you can do the things you want to do!
