Why can’t I make a decision??

Why do I keep procrastinating?!?

FIRST…NOTHING is wrong with you. You are not broken. 🫶

Little stressed, tired, frustrated maybe but broken?? Nah.

WHO KNEW THIS was so common?? I hear this all the time with the women I coach. (It wasn’t just me after all!😜) When we believe something will help us but then DON’T commit to the thing we think is going to help us feel better…GUESS WHAT??

It stresses us out. (Like we needed anymore stress) 🤦🏻‍♀️

The answer is NOT to put your head in the sand and hope that feeling goes away. (It doesn’t-and your are actually practicing a habit that WILL NOT serve your health or well being) 😳

AND you can’t just read about it (thats passive action) you have to TAKE Action and practice those techniques that you think are going to help you live that life you want.

Making decisions, especially those that impact our health and well-being, like waking up early for a 6AM yoga class. (please forgive the TOTAL self promotion) 😉

It’s not always easy, and here’s why:

Decision Fatigue: Our days are filled with countless decisions and by the time it comes to choosing something for our own health and wellbeing , like attending an early morning yoga class, we’re often mentally exhausted. This decision fatigue makes even simple choices feel daunting. 

Brain Fog: Sometimes, our minds just don’t seem clear. Factors like stress, poor sleep, and diet can lead to brain fog, making it tough to make the healthiest choices for ourselves.

Hormone Health: Our hormonal balance plays a crucial role in how we feel and decide. These hormone shifts of perimenopause and  menopause can affect our mood, energy levels, and therefore, our decision-making abilities. During the time of life we need the most support because we have THE LEAST amount of hormones to help us.

You have to learn how to flip the script. 👊🏼✨

Here are three compelling reasons to stop procrastinating and start embracing new, healthy experiences:

❇️ Trust Your Inner Wisdom: Deep down, you know what’s best for you. But are you slowing down to even listen to whats going on in there? When you are busy being busy its REALLY hard to listen to that inner voice. But by tuning into your inner voice and trusting it, you can overcome hesitation and embrace new experiences that foster growth and well-being.

❇️ Boost Your Productivity: Engaging in healthy activities like yoga not only improves your physical health but also clears your mind, enhances focus, and boosts overall productivity. A healthier you means you’re more present and effective in every aspect of your life.

❇️ A Ripple Effect on Your Family: Your health and happiness have a profound impact on your family. By taking care of yourself, you’re better equipped to care for and inspire those around you. Your commitment to health sets a positive example and creates a healthier environment for everyone. Your kids are picking up on your signals. If you always feel the need to be busy-they might be feeling that too. Its not about being perfect-so DON’T go there. Its about having realistic expectations for what you want out of your life.
HOW do you flip the switch?? 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

It starts with awareness. Being aware of what you are doing and practical steps to move you in the place you want to go. You keep practicing until you become consistent.

Learning to wrestle with the thoughts of “I don’t have enough time,” or “I can’t afford it,” or any of those negative thoughts like, “I’m not good enough,” “it’s too hard,” or “I’m too tired,” is crucial. These thoughts are natural, but they don’t have to define our actions.

Remember, every decision towards a healthier lifestyle is a step in the right direction. Trust in your ability to make choices that benefit you and your loved ones. 💃🏻✨

A morning routine such as a 6AM yoga class will increases your productivity and lower your stress levels…

AND…

Thats what we do at that 6AM yoga time-its a time to cultivate a healthy mindset and let go of those thoughts that just hold us back from being our truly amazing selfs.
